Another Hot Day in PA – So I’m getting my miles in early!
I was up and at the gym by 7:30 this morning (a late start for me!) and got a full hour of weights in. Headed home, parked in the driveway and grabbed my bike from the garage. Took off for another hour of trail riding! (Scared my husband in the process – kinda forgot to tell him I was leaving…oops!)
We live in a small town in Pennsylvania but there’s a gorgeous park/sports complex here! Schuylkill Haven Island Park is beautiful! One amazing feature is the trail. Perfect for walking, running or biking! It’s my usual spot when I want to get a short run in – but today I broke out my mountain bike and hit the trail!
The views are simply amazing and it makes the workout so much easier!
And next time I’ll be sure to tell my husband I went out for a ride before I give him a mini heart attack! 🙂

Confession time. I don’t step on the scale often. 😯 Most people assume that if you’re working out and watching what you eat that you’re obsessed with the scale. Don’t get me wrong…I used to be that way but then something changed. The more I worked out, the more lean muscle mass I put on… the scale wouldn’t budge. But my clothes were falling off! I was focusing SO MUCH on that magic number that I wasn’t seeing the changes! So I stopped. It wasn’t easy – but I did it. This morning I spotted my old friend the scale and thought why not? And guess what? At some point, I met my “goal weight” and then some! And I didn’t even notice! Did it feel good? Yes. But I’ve FELT good for awhile now – not focusing on that number… so it was more of a validation. So bye bye for a few more months Mr Scale! This girl has a life to live! 😍
