Chicken soup

This past week has been brutal.  It started out with a pinched nerve in my neck… turned out to be the flu.

I’ve spent the past few days sleeping and resting all day long.  Between my neck and a wicked headache… it hasn’t been fun.

I left the house briefly today to pick up more medicine at the pharmacy and it’s frigid out there! Guess I should be thankful to be in bed the past few days!

Tonight is the first time in days that I don’t feel horrendous. Our 16 yr old daughter is an amazing cook for her age and she threw together this chicken noodle soup… definitely not Keto – but absolutely needed tonight.

Hoping I’m finally over the hurdle and back to my healthy lifestyle and half marathon training soon!

I’m still here…and Ready to Go for 2019


Hello everyone!  I’m still here and still Keto!  🙂

The past few months have been insanely crazy around here.  Between our daughter’s activities, work, volunteering, and my gym time – there’s been no time to breathe it seems!

But I’m back and ready to go for 2019!

While I wasn’t strict Keto the past few months…I still managed to maintain!  Score one for me! But I’m back and ready to share my journey with each of you!

I’ve even added our very own Putting In The Work Instagram page for you to follow along!  (You’re more than welcome to continue following my personal Instagram page – sebock5 – if you’d like though!)  The new page will be devoted solely to my Keto journey!

Thank you to everyone who has checked in the past few months and are still around!  To those of you who are new (and maybe just starting the New Year with Keto) – WELCOME!

The Keto Journey is definitely worth it and while results are different for everyone – this journey has been worth it for me!

So Welcome 2019…big things in store for me!  🙂

Keto Veggie Crescent Pizza

Keto Veggie Crescent Pizza


  • Fathead dough
  • 16 Oz Cream cheese Softened
  • 1/2 Cup Dukes Mayo
  • 1 Pkt Dry Ranch Dressing
  • 1 Cup Broccoli Steamed & Chopped
  • 1/2 Cup Cauliflower Steamed & Chopped
  • 5 Slices Bacon Crumbled


  1. Prepare fathead dough as directed.  Bake until golden brown and set aside to cool. 

    Mix cream cheese,  mayo and Ranch dressing packet - combine well. Spread on cooled fathead dough. 

    Top with chopped broccoli and cauliflower. Add crumbled bacon. 

    Slice and serve. Can be chilled before serving.

Self Care Sunday

The past few weeks have been a total whirlwind and my schedule has been knocked so far out of whack. Taking today for some desperately needed me time. Physically, emotionally, spiritually.

I actually hesitated using this picture… so many people use this phrase… its very cliche.

Today is all about ME.

Sounds selfish, doesn’t it? But guess what? I need this today. I need this time for me. This time I’m taking for me today is going to make me a better wife, mother, boss, employee this week.  A few simple hours to recharge and reconnect.

And what better time than a rainy Sunday? My homemade keto chili simmering in the crockpot all day… Fall decorations in the process of being put up…Meal prep for the week in full swing and an amazing detox bath right now complete with candles and my oils and crystals.  Sound extreme? For some maybe. But my stress levels have been off the charts lately and my positivity was dwindling. Pushing away that negativity is KEY on your healthy journey.

This week my plan is in place and I’m ready to reconnect with my goals.
